Privacy Policy

What we do not collect

This calculator runs entirely in your browser. The numbers you enter - replacement cost, roof age, deductible - are never transmitted to a server, never stored, and never associated with you in any way. We have no account system, no login, and no contact forms. There is no database of user inputs.

What we do use

This site displays ads served by Google AdSense. Google uses cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site and other sites on the internet. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the internet. You may opt out of personalised advertising by visitingGoogle Ads Settings.

We also use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how visitors use this site in aggregate. Google Analytics collects standard usage data: page views, approximate location (typically city-level, derived from IP address), and device and browser information (device type, browser, operating system, screen size).

We also track four specific interactions with the calculator, so we can tell whether the tool itself is useful: that someone started the calculator, that an estimate was shown, which general category of verdict was shown (worth filing, not worth filing, or marginal), and clicks through to our own guide and blog pages (which page was clicked, not what led to it). None of the numbers you enter into the calculator - replacement cost, roof age, deductible, dwelling limit, or any other input - are ever included in this tracking, transmitted to Google, or stored anywhere. Analytics only ever sees which general category of result you reached, never the specific figures behind it.

You can read Google's own explanation of what it collects and how it's used in the Google Privacy Policy. As with AdSense, you may opt out of personalised data collection viaGoogle Ads Settings, and browser extensions or settings that block Google Analytics will prevent this tracking entirely without affecting the calculator's functionality.

Beyond AdSense and Google Analytics, we do not use any other analytics platform, any other third-party tracking scripts, or any cookies beyond what these two services set.

Log data

Our hosting provider may collect standard server logs - IP address, browser type, pages visited, timestamps. This is typical of any web host and is not used by us for analytics or advertising purposes. Log retention policies are set by the hosting provider.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy in a material way, we will update the date at the top. No policy change will affect your privacy in a worse way without prior notice on the site.

Contact

There is no personal data held by this site to request, correct, or delete - none is collected. If you have a question about this policy, emailawaiskhadim2002@gmail.com.
